Beginning Blues
Learn the fundamentals of blues dancing - whether you've been doing this for years or are just beginning, come to this class to touch up on your basics.
Finding Your Lindy Center
Your moves are only as good as your foundation. We'll be focusing on how we move our bodies, how we connect to our partners and just how to use that center we talk so much about. This class will turn you into a whole new eschelon of dancer.
Finding the Perfect Swing Out and More
The Swing-Out doctor is in. Your dancing is only as good as your basics! Bill will show you how to feel totally at ease with your basics, as well as give you the tools to adapt to different "styles." You'll have a handful of new variations and a few new twists to old variations.
Putting It All Together
Now that you've honed your connection skills and are comfortable with the basics, this class will challenge you to break out of the patterns and respond dynamically to the music. This is where improvisation truly begins.
Blues and Lindy
Bill sees Blues as a perfect complimentary dance to Lindy Hop. The technique of one enhances the other. This class will show you how you can flow seamlessly between the two.
Teacher Training
Bill offers a unique teacher training workshop where you will get powerful teaching tips, focusing on how to incorporate core dance/movement principles when you teach rather than just teaching moves! This will greatly improve your effectiveness, and hone your diagnostic skills.
Blues: Beyond the Basics
This class will add dynamics to your blues dancing and will help you discover a full spectrum of movement, connection and musicality. (Intended for those who have taken Bill's intro blues class or have previous blues experience.) This class costs $20, which is not included in the workshop price.
